Minutes of last meeting motion to accepted by Barnthouse, second by Buckingham, approved unanimously with edit to pending sales/cost figures


  • Giro count of margin is in, available for review at center by general membership
  • Donation to St. Ambrose for support of Giro events occurring on the St. Ambrose lot; motion of                    donation by Gianino, second by Barnthouse, approved unanimously, details available upon request to general membership
  • Generous donations in lieu of flowers in the event of the passing of Dennis Cassani
  • Treasurer currently reviewing efficiency options associated with utility bills
  • Italian Heritage Festival was well received, great reviews on the parade and presence of spectators, currently projected once expenses finalized at positive margin
    • Amazing job done by the committee of Cathy Buckingham, Liz Pulliam, Jen Gianino and LynnMarie Alexander!  Thank you to all of the volunteers!


Safety Committee

  • Camera initiative, notice in the bulletin the last few weeks, looking to get to goal of 100 participants, currently just over 70
    • Success of the program thus far has been noticed, other neighborhood associations have reached out asking to know more
  • “Good Neighbor” problem property guidance – good handle on how to handle neighbor conflict, how to be a good landlord and tenant education is still in work, both programs planned for delivery in the next month or two


Hill Neighborhood Center/Preservation

  • Speaker series in work, shooting for first speaker in February
  • Favorable sales at the center in the last month, new items available at the center, come on down!
  • Hill House Tour tentatively scheduled for June 26th, 2022
  • Berra/Garagiola statue – the organizers have submitted a plan for potential donors to the statue; plan to present at November General Membership meeting
  • Preliminary discussions of projects/enhancements to occur at the Neighborhood Center before the holidays


Beautification Committee

  • Counted 144 fire hydrants for painting sponsorship program; possible roll out by Christmas

  • Membership count currently 600+
  • General membership meeting will occur in November, elections will be held; solicitation for nominees will occur via email, social media, website and newsletter
  • Double-check times for events before publishing in future newsletters
  • Board Talk for next issue will be done by Jim Barnthouse 
  • Safety Committee will submit update for December newsletter


Upcoming Events

  • General Membership meeting scheduled for Thursday, November 18th at 7:00
  • Christmas on the Hill discussions ongoing for normal provisions, currently slated for November 27th, 2021
